Özgür Culfa is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey University in TURKEY. His main research interests include ultra intense laser plasma interactions, hot electron generation, particle acceleration and fast ignition method in inertial confinement fusion.
He received the B.Sc. degree in 2008 in physics education at Dokuz Eylul University in TURKEY and the Ph.D. degree in physics in 2014 from the University of York, UK. He aided the supervision of term projects and graduation thesis of undergraduate and master students during his PhD. After the Ph.D, he moved to TURKEY and started working as a Post Doc. Research Assistant at Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey University for a year and now he is working as an Assistant Professor at Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University.
